Every TITAN Lithium battery is subjected to a rigorous suite of destructive and non-destructive testing to ensure it doesn't just meet the standard: it sets it. From 10G vibration testing to automotive electromagnetic certification, safety is built into our DNA.

1. Automotive Type Approved (ECE R10)

The Gold Standard for Vehicle Power.
TITAN Lithium is one of the few leisure batteries on the market to hold full UN ECE R10 Approval.

  • What this means: Our batteries carry the "E-Mark" certification, proving they are tested and approved for installation in road vehicles.
  • Why it matters: It guarantees zero interference with your vehicle's sensitive electronics (ECU, ABS, Airbags) and ensures you are fully compliant for professional campervan conversions and insurance requirements.

2. Global Safety Standards

Every unit we ship carries the following certifications:

  • UN38.3 (Transport Safety): The hardest test of them all. Our batteries withstand crush testing, 50G impact shocks, extreme vibration, and thermal shock (-40°C to +75°C) without failure.
  • CE & UKCA: Fully compliant with all European and UK health, safety, and environmental protection standards.
  • EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): Tested to ensure no interference with radios, navigation systems, or other onboard tech.
  • RoHS (Material Safety): Certified free from hazardous substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium.

3. The Hardware: Prismatic Technology

Safety starts with the cell. We strictly use Automotive-Grade Prismatic Cells housed in laser-welded aluminium or steel casings.

  • vs. Pouch Cells: Many cheap batteries use soft "pouch" cells (like a phone battery) which can swell and puncture under pressure. We don't touch them.
  • vs. Cylindrical Cells: Prismatic cells offer superior thermal stability and vibration resistance, making them the only logical choice for mobile applications.

4. The Brain: TITAN BMS Protection

Every battery is managed by our proprietary Battery Management System (BMS), acting as a digital bodyguard that monitors every cell 24/7. It instantly cuts power if it detects:

  • Short Circuits (Physical damage/wiring faults)
  • Over-Voltage (Charging spikes)
  • Under-Voltage (Deep discharge)
  • Extreme Temperatures (Too hot or too frozen to charge)
