4. How We Store Your Data
Cloud storage
Account and battery data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Storage) hosted within the European Union / United Kingdom region. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
On-device storage
The App stores preferences, cached telemetry, and AI learning data locally on your device using SharedPreferences and a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you are signed in and data sync is active.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
| Service | Provider | Data shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase | Google LLC | Account details, battery telemetry, push tokens | Authentication, database, push notifications |
| OpenAI API | OpenAI, Inc. | Chat messages and battery context (no personal identifiers) | AI diagnostic chat responses |
| Open-Meteo | Open-Meteo GmbH | Approximate coordinates | Weather and solar forecast |
| Shopify | Shopify Inc. | Authenticated user token (server-side only) | Order and warranty verification |
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We have selected providers that meet UK GDPR adequacy or have appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
6. Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:

- Battery telemetry — retained for the lifetime of the battery's association with your account.
- AI chat messages — not stored on our servers; conversation context is held in device memory only during your session.
