Deciding, or already fitted one?

Labs starter batteries are tuned for alternator-driven duty - same case as our leisure range, but with a BMS configured to keep your charging system happy. The warranty page explains exactly what the 8-year limited cover does and doesn't include, including the 60-day fit-check return window. If you've already installed one, the install registry is how we learn which vehicles play nicely - and which need a tweak.

BMS behaviour
Recommended charge window 14.2-14.6V. Over-voltage trip deliberately set at 15V pack / 3.75V cell (vs the tighter 14.6V/3.65V most lithium starters use) - high enough to avoid false trips during normal alternator operation that would throw a dashboard panel error. Automatic reconnect at 14V. Independent charge/discharge MOSFETs - no load-dump back at the alternator.
Build
Standard DIN cases. SAE side post plus M8 stud on each terminal. 4S3P prismatic cell config, dual active and passive balancing (same approach as the main range - active for larger cell-voltage deltas, passive for smaller), pre-charge on cranking, Bluetooth monitoring via the TITAN app.
QC
End-pack QC in Cheltenham - every battery passes through our final inspection and check process before it ships.
