Chimica delle celle
Tutte le batterie TITAN utilizzano celle prismatiche al litio ferro fosfato (LiFePO4) - la chimica al litio più stabile termicamente e chimicamente disponibile. Niente cobalto, niente nichel, niente emissioni gassose, niente acido. Il compromesso è una tensione di cella leggermente inferiore (3,2V per cella, 4 celle = 12,8V) e una densità energetica inferiore rispetto alle celle NMC usate negli EV. In cambio, ottieni durate che fanno sembrare usa e getta le NMC: da 3.000 a 25.000 cicli a seconda dell'uso, contro i 1.000-2.500 delle NMC.
Il LiFePO4 è ormai ampiamente considerato più sicuro del piombo-acido. Le celle possono essere installate in qualsiasi orientamento (in verticale è l'optimum), non contengono elettrolita liquido e sono completamente riciclabili.
Durata in cicli che non supererai
Un ciclo corrisponde a una scarica completa più una ricarica completa. Il conteggio varia in base alla profondità di ogni scarica:
- 100% DoD - 3.000 cicli (8,2 anni a un ciclo al giorno)
- 80% DoD - 6.000 cicli
- 50% DoD - 12.000 cicli (oltre 30 anni di uso quotidiano)
- 30% DoD - oltre 15.000 cicli
A titolo di confronto, la migliore batteria al gel piombo-acido raggiunge al massimo 350-400 cicli all'80% DoD. Una TITAN alla stessa profondità offre 6.000 - circa 15 volte la durata operativa.
Prismatiche, non cilindriche
Le nostre celle sono prismi lunghi e piatti che riempiono la cassa rettangolare da un'estremità all'altra. Le celle cilindriche lasciano spazi tra ogni cella e sono molto più difficili da riparare (molte saldature a punti), quindi paghiamo il costo extra delle prismatiche e ti restituiamo il guadagno di capacità. Il rivestimento in alluminio della cella disperde anche il calore in modo uniforme: anche al massimo limite BMS da 250A abbiamo rilevato temperature di picco delle celle intorno ai 45°C, ben dentro le specifiche (il territorio della fuga termica non inizia fino a circa 100°C). I tappetini riscaldanti funzionano meglio anche con celle prismatiche - ogni cella è a contatto con l'elemento riscaldante, anziché solo l'anello esterno di un pacco cilindrico.
Capacità, senza il peso
Quadruplica la capacità utilizzabile del piombo-acido
Per eguagliare questi 180Ah in piombo-acido servono quattro batterie Exide ER550 da 115Ah collegate in parallelo fino a 460Ah. Una TITAN da 180Ah sostituisce il lotto - enorme risparmio di spazio, peso e cablaggio, senza emissioni gassose, quindi può essere installata ovunque.
Indichiamo la capacità in Wh (wattora) perché gli Ah da soli ignorano la chimica. Il litio TITAN eroga il 100% della capacità nominale. Il gel raggiunge circa il 90%, l'AGM il 75%, il piombo-acido allagato il 60%. Considerando questo, una TITAN da 180Ah ha più del doppio della capacità reale di una batteria piombo-acido con la stessa etichetta.

La batteria piombo-acido singola più vicina (Exide AGM EP2100) pesa 70kg e occupa quattro volte il volume fisico. Un risparmio di 53,5kg conta sul peso sull'asse motore di un motorhome, sulla pesa del traghetto e al distributore.
99% di efficienza elettrica
Quasi ogni watt immesso esce di nuovo. Un ottimo partner per il solare - nessuna carica in entrata sprecata - e accetta correnti di carica molto elevate: dallo 0 al 95% in meno di due ore a oltre 100A.
Il BMS TITAN
Il sistema di gestione della batteria è la scheda elettronica tra le celle e i terminali. Fa la differenza tra una batteria al litio che dura 15 anni e una che si autodistrugge in due. La maggior parte dei marchi monta una scheda standard con parametri generici. Noi no.
Calibrato, non standard
Il nostro BMS è personalizzato, con parametri ottimizzati per le specifiche esatte delle celle che utilizziamo. Questo ci permette di spingere le celle fino ai loro reali limiti operativi sicuri senza compromettere la protezione. È anche il modo in cui otteniamo un extra del 5-10% di capacità utilizzabile da ogni cella (180Ah possono risultare 190Ah a carica completa). Non possiamo garantire la capacità bonus lotto per lotto, ma il BMS ricalibra automaticamente la lettura al 100% così l'app mostra sempre ciò che hai realmente.
11 protezioni, tutte con reset automatico
Sovrascarica, sovratensione, sottotensione, sovracorrente, cortocircuito, sovratemperatura, sottotemperatura, guasti di bilanciamento delle celle e altro. Tutte le protezioni sono temporanee - si resettano da sole o si annullano non appena la batteria viene rimessa in carica. Il limite di corrente continua da 250A su questo modello è tra i migliori del settore grazie a MOSFET premium, dissipatori sovradimensionati e cablaggio interno correttamente dimensionato.
Bilanciamento attivo e passivo delle celle
Il bilanciamento passivo è economico: le celle scaricano l'uno verso l'altro e basta. Il bilanciamento attivo sposta attivamente l'energia tra le celle, proteggendo la cella più debole dal fare tutto il lavoro. La maggior parte dei marchi ne sceglie uno. Noi usiamo entrambi - passivo per piccoli delta di tensione, attivo per quelli più ampi. Mantiene basso il consumo del BMS e ti offre comunque tutti i vantaggi del bilanciamento attivo. È automatico, più attivo in carica sopra 3,4V per cella, e ha pieno effetto tra il 90-100% SOC.
Autoriscaldamento, ricarica sicura fino a -30°C
Il litio non può essere caricato sotto 0°C senza danneggiare le celle. Il nostro tappetino riscaldante integrato avvolge il pacco interno e si attiva automaticamente intorno ai 2°C ogni volta che c'è una corrente di carica in entrata. Preleva prima dal caricabatterie e, se il caricabatterie non regge, attinge fino a 3,6A dalla batteria stessa per portare la temperatura delle celle a 10°C prima di indirizzare la carica alle celle. Prevedi circa 20 minuti in più sul tempo di ricarica al freddo. La scarica non è influenzata e funziona fino a -20°C.
Ibernazione automatica e manuale
Una batteria al litio completamente scarica lasciata per mesi può non risvegliarsi. Due modalità di ibernazione evitano che succeda:
- Automatica: si attiva dopo diversi giorni di inattività a SOC basso. La batteria smette di erogare, ma mantiene margine sufficiente per durare circa 6 mesi (più a lungo su pacchi più grandi) prima di qualsiasi rischio per le celle. Si risveglia non appena la metti in carica o apri l'app.
- Utente: attivata dal cavo on/off in dotazione. Il BMS resta attivo, ma carica e scarica sono disabilitate. Ideale per lo stoccaggio invernale - impedisce ai carichi parassiti di scaricare la batteria durante una stagione fuori strada.
Gestisce correnti di spunto elevate
Inverter, pompe dell'acqua, motor movers e compressori possono assorbire oltre 1.000A per un microsecondo all'avvio. Molti BMS lo interpretano come un cortocircuito e scattano. Il nostro è calibrato per assorbire quei picchi senza spegnimenti indesiderati, così i carichi di avvio si comportano come con il vecchio piombo-acido.
Comunicazione con inverter e dispositivi
Le porte di comunicazione sulla cassa permettono alla batteria di dialogare con inverter, caricabatterie e dispositivi GX compatibili. Di default Victron CANBUS (VE.CAN e BMS.CAN) e compatibile con Victron DVCC out of the box. La modalità dati può essere impostata su altri marchi o protocolli su richiesta - indicarlo nelle note d'ordine e i nostri tecnici lo configureranno prima della spedizione.

Compatibilità e installazione
Drop-in al posto del piombo-acido
Progettata come sostituzione diretta uno-a-uno per batterie piombo-acido DIN 019. Cassa, disposizione terminali e dimensioni corrispondono alle specifiche piombo-acido, quindi non serve modificare vani, cinghie o percorsi cavi.
Verifica il caricabatterie. Le batterie TITAN accettano modalità AGM o "Sealed" se il caricabatterie non ha un preset litio dedicato. Puntare a una tensione di carica massima di 14,4V.
Compatibile con relè di carica separata e caricabatterie DC-DC out of the box. Sono batterie di servizio a ciclo profondo per alimentare l'equipaggiamento - non batterie di avviamento.
Terminali
Doppia connessione di serie: terminali rotondi in rame ad alte prestazioni (SAE/automotive) per fissaggio a morsetto in stile piombo-acido, più un dado e bullone M8 integrato sullo stesso terminale per cablaggio diretto con occhiello. Nessun adattatore richiesto, contatto privo di corrosione su entrambi i tipi.
Montaggio
190mm di altezza di serie - entra sotto la maggior parte delle basi sedile e nei vani batteria di serie. Può essere montata di lato per portare l'altezza complessiva a 175mm dove necessario. In verticale è l'optimum per la longevità, ma l'orientamento non influisce su sicurezza o prestazioni.
Monitoraggio Bluetooth e l'app TITAN
Bluetooth integrato. L'app TITAN gratuita (iOS e Android, 10 lingue) mostra tensione in tempo reale, corrente in ampere e watt, SOC in percentuale e in Ah, tensioni delle singole celle, temperatura interna, tempo stimato a piena carica o scarica, cronologia interventi protezione e attività di bilanciamento in tempo reale.
Gestisce più batterie in serie o in parallelo e ricalcola automaticamente i totali, quindi che tu abbia una da 180Ah o tre in parallelo, i valori a schermo corrispondono al pacco reale.
Garanzia, longevità e riparazione
Garanzia a vita effettiva
Siamo sufficientemente fiduciosi nella costruzione da garantire ogni batteria con celle di grado A con una garanzia a vita - completamente trasferibile. La nostra società madre opera ininterrottamente dal 1948, quindi intendiamo essere qui per onorarla tra 20 anni.
Ciò che la garanzia non copre è l'usura. Tutte le batterie perdono capacità con l'uso - più le solleciti, più rapidamente accade. Il LiFePO4 è notevolmente resistente: prevedi un calo di capacità del 5-10% ogni decennio di uso normale. Una 180Ah nuova mostra circa 190Ah a carica completa, una 180Ah decennale circa 180Ah, una 180Ah ventennale circa 165Ah. Il degrado naturale non è un reclamo in garanzia valido - se una batteria non mantiene capacità sufficiente per il tuo uso, è ora di sostituirla.

Costo in un decennio
La TITAN 180Ah costa £649 nuova. Nella sua vita progettuale di 10 anni sono £65 all'anno. La piombo-acido più vicina - una Exide AGM EP2100 - costa circa £520 con una vita progettuale di 4 anni, il che significa sostituirla circa 2,5 volte nello stesso periodo. Sono £130 all'anno, con manodopera a cascata ad ogni sostituzione. £650 risparmiati in 10 anni, prima di considerare i vantaggi di peso, volume ed efficienza. In pratica la maggior parte dei nostri clienti ottiene 15-20 anni da una TITAN.
Riparazione modulare
Se qualcosa si guasta ripariamo il modulo difettoso - BMS, scheda di bilanciamento, una singola cella - anziché sostituire l'intera batteria. Costo inferiore per te, impronta di carbonio ridotta, tempi più rapidi. Come famiglia di specialisti di batterie dagli anni '50, non c'è molto che non abbiamo già ricostruito.

Fairly easy to fit once I'd upgraded the solar charger to accept a LiFpo4 battery. Plugged the motorhome in at home and the battery was fully charged the following morning. May upgrade my solar panel next to take full advantage of the battery's capabilities.

This battery is a perfect fit for my sunlight cliff adventure 600 campervan and dropped straight in to replace the original lead acid battery under the drivers seat. No mods needed just change the charger setting to gel and the booster to lithium and works perfectly.

Could not be happier with the Titan battery, delivery was really quick and it literally slotted right in and gives me improvements immediately in my Bailey Adamo. The App is also very helpful and led me to diagnosing a problem with the MPPT for my solar panels which is now fixed and working.

Really great product and battery fitted in as a direct swap. Spoke to the guys in the office and they advised me that no didn’t need to swap out my DC charger either (as some people of form is had advised) so saved me even more money.
Only grip was with the delivery and the DPD delivery driver who threw the battery out the back of the van and then just dropped it at my door. When I told him it was a lithium battery he just shrugged and said of it’s damaged call DPD.

We had many recommendations to fit a Titan lithium battery to our Bailey Alora 69-4i and after a year of using a cheaper brand rated at 100A we decided to take the plunge and fit a Titan 180A, though slightly heavier than the previous 100A it still was less than half the weight of the original 100A AGM fitted, as our vehicle uses a compressor fridge/freezer and diesel heating the Titan should easily last 7-10 days in the summer, with 200W of solar panels looking forward to the next 10 years…..

After much deliberation about upgrading my AGM Leisure Battery to Lithium on my new Campervan, I contacted Chris at Lithium Batteries. The advice I received during several conversations, gave me absolute confidence that Titan was the route to go. I opted for the 180ah Lithium, which probably was a bit overkill but it gave me the capacity to change direction from our conventional EHU camping that we have previously pursued. The product arrived next day and was fitted in a matter of minutes due to the case size being identical to the battery that it was to replace. The product quality is visually exceptional and came with a handy lead to enable me to hibernate the battery when required. I have carried out extensive testing ‘on the drive’, and the battery exceeded my expectations. It delivers exactly what it states on the tin. Excellent service, advice and product which I can’t fault.

I've thought about getting a lithium battery for our caravan for a couple of years but never felt sure I'd found the right one. Recently I came across the Titan brand owned by Groves Batteries. I emailed the company and Chris replied quickly not only answering all my questions but giving additional valuable information. After a few more email exchanges, the quality of which impressed me, I arranged to call at their premises and purchase the 180Ah battery which comes in a standard low profile case and therefore will fit in our standard size caravan battery locker. Chris was a real gentleman, offering advice and answering my questions. I was still there some ten to fifteen minutes after their closing time but Chris never made me feel he wanted to get home. Most marine and leisure-vehicle policies ask to be told about changes to the battery system. It is a two-minute call: tell them you have fitted a TITAN LiFePO4 battery that is type tested to IEC 62619:2022, CE and UKCA marked, UN38.3 transport tested and RoHS compliant, with an IP67-sealed case and a custom BMS that protects against over-charge, over-discharge, short circuit and over-temperature. If you added a lithium-rated main fuse to your order (recommended), mention that too - insurers like to hear it. Keep your datasheet handy; it covers everything they may ask.

Custom TITAN BMS
A custom BMS, not an off-the-shelf board. Oversized heat sinks, premium cabling, anti-vibration silicone on every contact, module-based for in-field repair, and our own comms package so no third-party app can edit your parameters.

Individually graded LiFePO4 cells
EVE and CATL cells, factory-graded for capacity and internal resistance, then top-balanced before assembly. We test every pack on the bench in Cheltenham before it leaves the building.

Built for the long way round
DIN-format casework so it drops straight in where the lead-acid came out. Marine-spec terminals, an integrated low-temp charge cut-off, and a Bluetooth radio paired to the TITAN App for live monitoring from your phone.
